Manchester is a sixty-mile run across the Pennines on the M62 — usually an hour and a half, occasionally more if the weather over the tops is doing something dramatic. We travel there regularly for weddings, with the Sikh community concentrated around Cheetham Hill and the south of the city.
Greater Manchester is large, and "Manchester" on a booking form can mean anywhere from Bolton to Stockport — a forty-minute spread in its own right. So we always ask for the actual postcode rather than the city name. It is the single most useful thing you can give us when you enquire, because it determines what time we leave Doncaster.
